Wow, fellas…gave us a ton of love there!  Definitely got a kick out of that…you should have seen Joe’s face, lol.

Wrapping up the selection of our FIRST AdSense Flippers Intern, guys.  Thanks so much for inspiring us and showing us the model to get this started.  We’ve had some excellent submissions and interviews and have a tough choice coming up this weekend on who we’re going to select.

Ian – Love the fact that you caught yourself giving a short answer and you mentioned it.  I thought that when you said it, but hearing you catch yourself and reiterate that you’re going to be more expansive in future answers was classy.  (And will ultimately be amazingly helpful for your readers/listeners)

Funny you mentioned us to those who are looking to STOP consuming info and need to get down to output.  Conversely, we’d mention you guys as one of the FIRST stops for those trying to figure out what they want to do or looking to expand their business.  Those looking to consume MORE should definitely check out the LBP and DynamiteCircle…amazing stuff.  (BTW, if you haven’t read the article about 2nd Citizenship/Passport in the DC you HAVE to check out the story behind the guy who posted the info…one of the craziest entrepreneurial stories I think I’ve ever heard, actually.)

3 steps to starting a business I distilled from this episode:

    1. Get an accountability partner

    2. Join or start a mastermind group

    3. HUSTLE

Thanks for the advice- I think those three steps alone are a game changer

I agree with a lot of what you guys talked about.  I started blogging a year ago to start getting my stuff down on “paper.”  I’ve become a lot more focused on content creation than consumption.  I still read a lot, but I spend 3 hours of content creation to every hour of consumption.

The blog is great because I can’t tell you how many times I have to say the same thing over and over.  I usually just link the answer to someone’s question and save myself the time.

You should look into the plugin:  Anthologize

Its great because it’ll turn your blog into an ebook and can customize a lot of the content.  I plan on turning my blog into a book at one point or another, so this was great.  Low effort, huge gains.  Instant productization of your historical content for newsletters or amazon ebooks.

One note I’d be careful of the Kindle. It’s a great product but its got a really sensitive screen. I’ve had the liquid ink screen crack twice with a case in my bag while traveling between Taiwan and Singapore.

Calibre is great too!  It cracks DRM for every ebook platform in less than 2 seconds and its opensource =D.

Elements of Style by Strunk and White is the bible that every english major is required to buy their first semester.  Great advise for every writer to pick up and give an once over!

Lookin forward to casts in the future.
