Lets say an entrepreneur wanted a VA to design a basic company logo. Can you provide an example of the cost or a freelancer vs. a solutions firm. Also the difference in approach for this type of job?

  • TropicalMBA

Rashade, in general a solutions firm focused on VA services wouldn't take on a by-the-hour graphic design project. Great resources for this kind of thing are 99designs.com and Elogocontest. You can find the freelance rates in PH for graphic design tasks on ODesk by posting your project, but my sense is that really great designers are probably about 15 per hour. Obviously the rates will fluctuate hugely, but if you need a logo I'd crowdsource it!

Well said Chris, would love to meet up and talk with you.

Thanks for sharing this Chris. I agreed, as a virtual assistant service provider we face similar questions and distinguishing freelancer vs corporate virtual assistant services are easy. As solutions provider we know how much we put efforts in screening, selecting and training the right staff for right things and how much we spend per staff on lease lines, latest PC, original software etc. even being in countries where you can get pirated windows in just $2 (Though all the time your data on dish are at full risk). Well said, thanks!
