TMBA Pool Party – We Got the Beer, We Got the Pool, We Just Need You post image

Subscribe to this blog here. I love twitter, follow me @TropicalMBA.

Summary: I’m throwing a pool party at the TMBA house in Seminyak, Bali, on Saturday August 27th, 2011 from 1PM to 6PM. Cool people will be there. You should come.

If you’d like to hear from me more often, check out the Lifestyle Business Podcast. We’ve got 68 5-Star Reviews on iTunes. Thousands of entrepreneurs download it weekly. We’ve recently committed to putting out something on the feed every Thursday at 8AM EST.

In 2011 we’ve made it a top priority to improve our network of like-minded people. That’s the reason we’ve pulled together the house, started a mastermind group (currently closed), and started organizing summits.

Also– I love meeting other entrepreneurs. Anyway, what good is a big ole house and pool if you aren’t throwing parties? Here’s the details:

That's the pool. I'm not above pushing you in it. Assuming your cell phone is safe, of course.

TMBA Pool Party Overview

August 27th, 2011, 1PM-6PM. Exactly 24 hours after @Davidhme (TMBA II) makes his triumphant return to Bali.

Flip Flops and Socks

The party will be casual. I wouldn’t get on a major plane flight to come out to this one. The party is an excuse for people in the immediate vicinity to get together, meet each other, swap notes, develop multi-million dollar joint ventures, and have a little fun in the process.

Schedule

At 1:30PM or so, everyone will introduce themselves and what businesses they are involved in. We’ll make sure everyone has a chance to let the group know what their current projects and challenges are.

We’ll provide the food and drinks. We’ll hang out and chit chat until everyone funnels back home or out in to the nightlife of Bali. Party will officially end around 6PM. We’ll play it by ear. If you want to crash at the house, just let us know. I think we’ve got 3 couches + a bunch of extra space. We’ll provide Bintang, soft drinks, and Indonesian party food– if you want something else, please bring it.

Who’s Invited?

Anyone who is currently working on building internet businesses.

I’m hoping if you live in Bali and are reading this post you’ll come by the party and meet us… (Please RSVP, see below)

This party is also an playful push out the door to all those guys in Thailand who have been promising to come over to Bali for months now (ahem).

Where

1X Drupadi Street (near the intersection with Oberoi) Seminyak, Bali. I can provide you with a map via email if it would be useful to you.

RSVPs

If you want to come to the TMBA party, please RSVP by sending an email to Dan at Tropical MBA dot com. Send me your name, and how many people you are bringing. Let me know briefly what you do and where you live.

If you are coming from outside of the country, we’ll do our best to help you out with arrangements, just get in touch with us.

Cost

Bring 1 pink note to help fund the party. If you are a couple, please bring 150,000K. Kids are free. If we have extra money left over (I’m not clear on how much this will cost us at this point, I can report it at the party), we will invest it in party gear to throw future parties.

Pink bills are for ballas.

Pink dollas are for ballas.

Our zen garden which we'll un-zen for an afternoon.

Thanks for your interest. Please share this with folks who you think would be interested.

Cheers,

Dan

Pink dollas are for ballas – wish I could be there. How regular will these be? I’m gonna have to start working on my Asia trip plans :)

  • http://www.tropicalmba.com Dan

Updated the verbiage to reflect your rhyming skillz! They will be regular. I don’t really know, but if you are coming over here, just coordinate with me.

If it’s anywhere near as awesome as Puerto Galera then it’s worth the effort to show up.  I surely hope I can carve out enough money to cover the airfare.  Can’t commit yet, but put me down as tentative.

  • http://stankavich.com Mike Stankavich

BTW what would be cheapest airfare from Philippines?  Through Singapore?

After October I’d love to show up to one of these. We’ll be in Bali sometime in November for a few weeks.  I’ll send this to a friend who is in Bali right now building an eco-house.

Mike– as far as I know: Clark/Manila–>Singapore or KUL, Tiger Air or Air Asia, then on to DPS. There is a post on this in the DC search for “Tiger Air” or similar keywords.

I think this will be much more casual than the PG affair– I mean it’s 5 hours and a few beers… but I’m sure some ballas will come out of the woodwork and it’s just a great group to be around.

ECO HOUSE!? Sounds balla. Yeah Matt my hope is that we start having regular BBQs. Will be good to see whos in the neighborhood and we’ll set the plan based on the vibe of the first party. Looking forward to meeting up in November.

Yeah, he’s been writing about the process for preparing the land to build on over here: http://thezenguy.com/  I met him at WDS in June.  Great guy!  Definitely looking forward to meeting up.
