On this week’s episode, Dan and Ian unearth some important documents from 2009.

Yes, we are talking about their original, old-school Dreamlines, written back when Dan and Ian first met.

For those unfamiliar with the term, a Dreamline is a document that asks you to write down what you want to have, be and do in life.

This process of taking some time for yourself, to determine what you really want, and visualize what your ideal life looks like can be extremely valuable.

On this episode, you’ll hear all about how these Dreamlines have directly caused change and progress in the lives of the hosts of this show. You’ll also hear a response to a listener submitted question about The 1,000 Day Rule, and the pros and cons of documenting your entrepreneurial journey.

Listen to this week’s show and learn:

  • Why Dan has taken all business communication off of his phone. (3:29)
  • What a Dreamline is. (7:44)
  • Some of the things that Ian wrote on his Dreamline in 2009. (13:59)
  • How Ian feels about his Dreamline 8 years later. (21:02)
  • A listener’s story about his future after his $400,000 a year business failed. (23:48)

  • Good to hear you revisit the dreamlining concept. I’ve written a howto here:

This was hugely fun episode guys. Loved the new intermission/intro. Great pep talk at the end.

I think it is about time that I sit down and have a look at my dreamliner again.

  • cheers!

  • thanks Stephan glad you dug it :D

  • Thanks for reminding me this needs to be done. Will be doing a dreamline with my wife this weekend. #TeamThompson

  • awesome man! hopefully seeing Dan a few times a year is on there :P

    Hey Dan & Ian,

I just re-listened to this episode as I was working on my dreamline for 2018 and I just can’t figure something out.

Ian, how is it possible that we never hear about Dan? It happened again on this podcast.

I feel like I can’t be the only one to ask this question, “What did/does Dan actually do?” I’ve heard some hints and teases that Dan has mentioned on the podcast but I’m thinking it’s time that IAN gets a solid interview putting Dan on the spot.

Questions that would be interesting to find out about could be:

-What did Dan do for the businesses when they first started and he went east?
-What were your actual roles in the beginning of the businesses?
-What were Dan’s dreamlines? Did they happen?
-Did Ian’s back hurt from doing all the work? etc… haha ;)

What do you say guys? Can we get a Dan Andrews backstory from the start of your first dreamline to present?

This is my favorite podcast by far and since I’m on this rant, CAN WE GET SOME RAP AND REVIEWS?

    Peace EZ.

  • lol will share with bossman
