Listen to this episode.

Hey party people, I just stepped foot back in Manila and I’m catching up on mounds of email. This episode was recorded about a week ago. We have had tons more going on and a few more KILLER iTunes reviews since that time, thanks to everyone who takes the time to say nice things about the show there. Looking forward to recording another show this week! :)

Hey, just wanted to thank yo so much for the mention! Would love to consult with you any time you like! Let's get that audio level to a 10 out of 10 quality rating!

    Awesome, guys.

Ian – “Learning is living.” – I dig that.

Regarding Wishlist, in a couple of days I'm planning on purchasing it for the product I'm about to put out. Really looking forward to playing around with that. I got to check out the backend a little bit with Sean while hanging out with him in Boston and it looks sweet, he had nothing but great things to say about it.

Really nice to hear some more of the details about what you guys do. Transparency rocks! And a big congrats on your best month so far, I know the best is yet to come.

Best Episode yet? I'd say so! Loved everything you talked about. I've never heard “Survivors Bias” before but the idea is one that I've had as well. Thanks for a succinct explanation! The perspective you shared was one I'd never thought of before. I danced around the idea, but today, you guys connected the neurons for me. Thanks!

You guys inspire me like crazy!

I really appreciate the transparency! I understand why you're guarded with the details of your business and respect that. Thanks for filling in some of the banks for us.

I'm gonna listen to this episode again. So much great info!! Thanks again guys!

So, this one actually had to be listened to in TWO parts…drive TO work and drive HOME from work. LOL

I also had never heard of Survivor's Bias as a term, but immediately understand it. I wrote a post last week that touched on this concept and how so many people are following blindly after those who have survived and are peddling their one time wins as business rules. I don't buy it. But then again, I *AM* the Business Intelligence guy, right? ;)

However, the absolute best part of this whole podcast was that little chi-ching that came after my name. I think me and my car floated above the traffic with gleeful awesomeness when I heard it. YOU! GUYS! ROCK!!!!

I'm looking forward to what lies behind the little hints of paid membership.

I have a friend who always used to express his extreme pleasure with stuff on instant messenger by writing “$$$$” as in “money baby.” Always loved that and now we've managed to get it in to audio :)

Thats all to say your money baby.

  • TropicalMBA

    Thanks man :)

Not sure if its the best but for sure the longest.

  • TropicalMBA

Learning is living really stuck out for me too. I'm wondering if Ian gets some coinage props on that or if thats already out there. I didn't put it together that you are friends with Sean, very cool!

  • TropicalMBA

Thank you Cliff! Ian and I would like to do a consulting call with you. I'm trying to create a list of the things I'd like to do with the show and then we'll hook it up. Love your stuff :)

Thanks for the shout out guys, We hope that our podcast will be as good as yours is.

  • TropicalMBA

    I hope so too!

Guys- I've bought the domain and also hired 10 PhD students to start generating an information product around the idea. Stay tuned..

A wise man once told me –
“I'ma tell you what Banks told 'cause go 'head switch the style up. And if they hate then let them hate and watch the money pile up”

    Thank you 50 cent =).

You guys are shacking up? *gasp* Start the rumor mill.

I like your guys' take on the “formulas.” There are none. Learn as much as you can and apply what works/ is relevant to you. There's no one-size-fits-all solution.

Never underestimate your margin you can build in. You'd be amazed at what you can do just by asking. A couple months back, we doubled the size of a proposal (I'll tell you specific numbers another place, but it was to the tune of 6 figures) just by asking. Don't devalue yourself. Ever.

O yea, thanks for the mention =)

  • TropicalMBA

It probably would be easier just to marry Ian ! haha. I'm interested in your margin story, its amazing how arbitrary this stuff can get especially with contracts. Ian and I had a lot of “is it worth it” conversations this month.

  • TropicalMBA

Oh shit you figured out how to comment!?

wicked podcast as per usual guys,
Classic – The 3 H's : Hustle, Hard and Hate.
Not sure if I agree with the motorbikes in SE Asia. I go on on opposite motto, “Stay Off the Moterbikes !, If you stay off them you lower your chance of having an accident”
I've smashed up a few bikes over the years and it can be expensive if rental bike or/and painful scrapes. eg. just the other day, http://twitter.com/MiltBaron/favorites

Cars or taxis are a much safer option but the independence of a moterbike is real handy.

  • TropicalMBA

Thanks man! fair enough on the counterpoint on the motorcycles, I don't want to get anyone killed because of our advice on 'boppin' around the island.' Ian and I– experts that we think we are when it comes to bikes– even left a little skin the game :)

  • http://MiltBlog.com Milt

Me and motorbikes just don't mix well. And although I say stay off them, Boppin round the island on a little scooter has almost gotta be done.

Never did mention, Dave and I both loved the podcast, How is Manila these days, Haven't been there in years, Have to Agree, Bikes are the way to go.

We're waiting for your next podcast, Can't wait!

  • TropicalMBA

Heyo thanks for that. Manila… .well, probably not much different from when you left it! Just finished up the next podcast should be up tonight. :)
