Today, Dan and Ian are continuing their miniseries in which they look at the many different locations that people in this community have chosen to call ‘home’.

In this episode, you’ll hear from someone who hasn’t just settled on a place but is also considering applying for citizenship there too. Dustin Overbeck is the creator of a company that does website and design for municipalities called TownWeb.

What makes Dustin’s story different from others that we’ve heard in this series is that he’s not just making decisions for himself and, perhaps, one other – but for a family of four, including two young kids.

On this week’s podcast, you’ll find out why Dustin and his wife decided to leave the Philippines, what factors they had to take into consideration and why, ultimately, they settled on moving their family to Brasov, Romania.

We loved spending time in Brasov. Dustin and his family welcomed us into their community and it was an experience we will never forget. We highly recommend Brasov as a Digital Nomad destination, particularly for those with family. We still miss the fantastic internet and Cafe culture.

Wow, thanks for the kind words! It was so great to hang out during the months that you, Jim and the kids were here. I hope our paths cross again sooner than later.

Hey, Andrei, you’re one of the guys who makes Brasov special! For the past several years we’ve been seeing each other at the cafes working on our laptops and it’s only fitting that we’ve started collaborated on several projects together in the past year.
